Box 1598\n Newburyport, MA 01950\n ------\n\nAbout Our Speaker\n \nJeff Margolin is a Senior Vice President and Closed-End Fund Analyst and delivers insights into the closed-end fund market, including how to use CEFs for diversification and income in client portfolios. Mr. Margolin joined First Trust in 2005 after 8 years at Ryan, Beck & Co., where he was Vice President of Equity Research focusing on NYSE- and AMEX-listed closed-end funds. While there, he produced in-depth research reports on closed-end funds, providing insights on relative performance and portfolio strengths and weaknesses. Jeff was previously a research assistant for Smith Barney.\n\n Several publications have quoted Mr. Margolin, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Forbes, The New York Times, Registered Rep, The Bond Buyer and the Dow Jones Newswire.\n\n He earned his undergraduate degree from Clark University where he graduated as a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society and received his MBA from Baruch College. In 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Mr. Margolin won the Capital Link award for the individual who made the biggest contribution to the closed-end fund sector.\n
